| - Where do I began with this place? My husband and I wanted to try a new place and we were looking for ribs. We noticed this place listed on the Downtown Summerlin website and decided to give it a try. We don't typically go on yelp prior to visits so we can have an open mind. So here's our take on this place...
First off, the ordering process and area is uncomfortable and a bit off point from your typical restaurant. The large menu facing the cashiers is weird and causes traffic. You place your order and they hand you a bucket with your number and some utensils. The concept is the server needs to bring the food to you, wherever you decide to sit is up to you. Issue with this is as we got a table, we overheard servers stating "I can't find where #8 is sitting" they walked around a few times till they found them. It's not easy for them to get your food to you because they are on a scavenger hunt.
Second, when it comes to the basic service they are lacking quite a bit. The bucket provided doesn't provide enough napkins, they don't check on you until your done with your meal and getting a second beverage is a nightmare. You have to flag someone down to get water. And even then they are so overwhelmed in turning tables or searching for table numbers, that they will forget about your request.
Lastly, the food itself is served on a wooden board. We get the whole different rustic serving dish idea, however, it does not work well at all with a rack of ribs and fries. They plated the fries underneath and if you are trying to cut your ribs fries fall off the board and on to the table. A completely uncomfortable mess when your hands are full of bbq sauce. As far as the taste is concerned the Lamb ribs were perfectly cooked, great slaw. Side note on bbq sauce: it would be nice to have wet napkins available.
I will leave you with this: if you got plenty of time to wait in line, wanting as little attention as possible and don't mind eating off a board you should check this place out.
