  • We moved here 4 years ago to be closer to work while starting out in Las Vegas. It was quiet and there were many families. The apartment is severely water damaged and looks like termites have eaten through wooden parts under the sinks. However they are remodeling. My bathtub has been redone twice and it still looks disgusting and you attempt to take a bath white chips float in the water. When we first moved in we had a serious roach infestation but, we got rid of them after working really hard and we haven't seen them in years. However we did have a bed bug scare a couple of years back only to find out it was our downstairs neighbor with the infestation. After almost being charged for the treatment/ extermination, the staff helped us a little with protecting our bed with a cover for the mattress and treated the apartment. I wrote to corporate to get help so don't expect he staff to be very sympathetic initially. Also I have been here 4 years we started out at $725 in rent and now we are near $900. I did not know these were income based apartments because they went up after we got new higher paying jobs, they do ask and need proof of employment for everyone in the home which is okay but don't drive people to the poor house that is what the projects are for. This place is a trap if you plan on saving for a house or paying student loans and such like the projects. We have had two kids here and experienced other health issues, so if life happens and you need to use your savings you are screwed. Since last year a robber has been targeting tenants and guests of tenants. The back street is very dark and many tenants work at nearby casinos and other businesses. They come and go all hours of the night and its dangerous and women have also been sexually assaulted back there. Just the other night people were robbed then shot at the entrance of the apartments by the office. No permanent security patrolling. Then security can be weird at times. They also drink on the job. There is also tagging popping up I am not familiar with activities that go on at night but my son(12) during the day was attacked and threatened to join a group. Most of his friendsM have moved away and he doesn't go outside at all! I guess the staff is doing the best they can. I think they could do a better job in actually caring about their tenants. I do not doubt the staff to be nice people, they have done nice things for us in the past. I do not doubt they are busy overseeing daily functions. However customer service is key. Maybe if they implement some neighborhood watch or tenant safety program. Maybe if the show they care about the people and not the money sometime. Also giving long term tenants incentives instead of kicking them to the curb after years of loyalty. If I would have known any better I would not have chosen this place for my family.
