| - My air conditioner stopped blowing cold air, I called Another LARGE company to come out and take a look. The other company's technician told me that the motor is completely fried and I have no Freon. He said it will cost me thousands to get up and running and because it's an old unit, it wouldn't be worth it. I asked him if he put Freon in it, if it would run, and he said no because the motor isn't running, and I would need 9 pounds of Freon. He said my only option is to get a new unit, and his supervisor will come tomorrow to give me a quote.... I paid the "diagnostic fee" and he left. I then called ALAN's AIR, told them that I would like a quote for a new AC, when the tech Bill arrived he asked me what I was diagnosed with, I explained the motor and Freon issue. He said he saw Freon in the unit, and the fan is blowing so the motor is fine. He said "let me REALLY take a look". He found one of the wires was bad, and ONLY put a couple Pounds of Freon that it needed. After my AC was working like new... Alan's Air went above and beyond, I didn't even ask for a diagnosis or repair, only a quote for a whole new unit, they could have went the easy route but they were honest!!! The other "large chain" company blatantly lied to me, made up a complete false diagnosis, and insisted my only option was buying a brand new unit. Alan's Air saved me thousands, repaired my current unit, and had integrity! I would recommend them!!
