| - Worst customer service ever. On top of that, it was my birthday
We picked out a dozen bagels, as well as a container of cream cheese out of the fridge and brought it to the middle counter. I said to the lady at the counter, "we have 1 cream cheese, a dozen baglels, and it is my birthday." Immediatly after i said it was my birthday, the woman got all upset with me and started going on with how she already entered it in the register and i should have told her before just incase the promotion was no longer available. I asked her nicely how am i suppose to know that? and that the promotion was listed on the website. I then said you dont need to be so rude about it. She still kept talking about it. I then gave up, put the products down on the counter and started walking out the door. She then made a comment that I couldnt make out. I then stated that I am a customer that deserves respect and that you have lost yourselves a customer and left.
I have never in my entire life experienced such bad customer service. It is not the customers responsibility to know the cash register policies of the store. I shouldnt be expected to know the order in which I have to recite what I would like, and any promotion I want to take advantage of UNLESS there was a notice stating such, as there is for example at Mcdonalds when you want to redeem a monoply food prize.
If I didn't do it in the right order, I appologise. Regardless, if a customer does not order things correctly the cashier should just deal with it and process the order. I don't need an explanation on how to order bagels for my birthday in the future since it may be minimum a year before I can take advantage of it again.
I didnt get a good look at the name tag if the employee was wearing one. I describe her as Female, brown skinned, black hair below shoulder length hair tied into a ponytail. She is heavy set about 5'5 to 5'6.
