  • I first discovered this store about 15 years ago with a friend. I lived at the other end of the city so it really wasn't a regular stop for me (no car at the time). Now I can walk there and back in minutes and meet all my emergency kitty food, litter or cat grass needs! Their stock is second to none. Every brand you can imagine of good quality food for pretty much any pet you may have and all the fun little dishes to go with! Lots of pet supplies from carriers, leashes, coats, brushes, scratching trees, water fountains.....tooooooo many to list! The staff are just fantastic., truly animal people who are very knowledgeable about the products in the store and they always offer to help you carry your purchases out to your car. Very handy when you are picking up 50LBS of cat litter! The business has been in operation since 1919 and is still family owned to this day. Big supporters of MEOW and ARF just to name two animal charities and they also are part of the City of Calgary I Love My Pet program so discounts to be had! The nicest thing aside from the great staff is that at Christmas they have tree decorated with gift certificates for your pets. You pick based on colours (and even get one for every pet you have, not just one for customer) and the gifts are toys, treats, food all number of things. Very nice holiday tradition for their customers both two legged and four.
