  • The family owned Desert West Services is a top notch, reliable, honest, and professional company that does quality work. My opinion is based on the following, first experience with DWS: On a hot, July, Sunday morning, my air conditioning stopped cooling. Pat came to my house within an hour or two and found the return air duct collapsed due to improper installation. The duct could no longer hold an open shape; and, since it was in a tight place in the attic that required two rather sharp turns, Pat recommended installing two rigid 90's at the return duct connected to the furnace. He checked to see if any of the open stores carried the parts, but they didn't, so he came back early on Mon. to finish the work. As his work progressed, he discovered that most of the output vents were still not blowing cool air, so he investigated the rest of the duct system, which is not easily accessible and found that hardly any of the ducts were any longer connected. He showed me photos of the problem and he gave clear explanations. (Over the years, others had worked on projects that required going into the attic, and it is my opinion that the ducts got in the way of the work one of the companies was doing. Due to their carelessness, they damaged the ducts so that I only had a few that were still connected and some even had tears in them.) In all, Pat spent several, hot hours, in very uncomfortable, cramped, attic spaces taping the ducts back together. Now my house is evenly cooled throughout and this nearly 77 year old women is forever grateful to have found this truly trustworthy company.
