This cute little cafe across Lafontaine Park is like bike haven! They have maps for every bike path you can imagine and all for free! Place was busy too for a weekday afternoon, with bikers stopping in for a quick bite. I don't ride bikes, I drink coffee..and that's why I decided to stop in!
Besides the array of baked goods, sandwiches and salads, there was one item that really ci-haut my eye; they have a lavender latte??! What?! I grabbed a tall lavender coffee with almond milk for 5.50$ and sat on the little patio upfront to enjoy my java. The scent of lavender was intense upon my first sip but I quickly got accustomed to the odd flavour and thoroughly enjoyed my cup of joe; the espresso was not very acidic and the almond milk was perfectly sweet, so overall, this coffee was perfectly balanced!
Maybe it was the lavender or maybe it was the summer like weather, but I felt totally zen and content. The price may be a little higher then other shops in the corner who offer better coffee but the scenic view and odd lavender coffee has intrigued me enough to return for the spiced latte...stay tuned.
