| - ***** REVISED***** BACK TO 5 STAR!
Due to the kindness of the owner and possibly a manager of the darling establishment, that both took the time to send me a message about my review..explaining they have gone back to the "old" incredibly delicious menu, WE RETURNED!!!
I was back to its "old self".... MENU IS BACK, FOOD QUALITY IS BACK,!!! This is definitely back on our "favs" list!!
KUDOS TO OWNER AND MANAGER,!
We have been to this gem at the end of the runway numerous times on the past several years... Sadly, tonight will be our last visit.
There has been a change in ownership, management and kitchen staff. The once wonderfully diverse menu, is now nothing but generic offerings. No more warm homemade bread loaf.... now you get store bought 1/2 slice thin dry ordinary bread. No more gnocchi. No more marsala. No more veal ( which I don't eat, anyway). No more bolgonase. No more unique items...
When we questioned the missing menu items, we were told there is a new chef and there were too many options to be managed. Granted, the menu was extensive, but cutting the wonderful menus by 2/3rds, and leaving just the run of the mill menu is a huge mistake! The clientele remained faithful to this "mom&pop" place because it was like eating an mama's house on Sunday night. Now it's a bad night at Olive Garden..
The arrogance of this new chef/management, to think they can make subpar substitutions, changes and deletions and expect the customer to remain, is ludicrous.
I am sorry to see this establishment go down in flames, but it well on its way... If the previous owners are out there... PLEASE, PLEASE come back and save what you worked so hard to build... unfortunatly, your hard work and reputation is not going out with a bang...its going out with a painful wimper.
The days of recommending this place are over. Never again.
Sad.
