  • This is one QUALITY A.Y.C.E. Japanese seafood buffet! Makino is a favorite of our local fams and it got some major props by my yelp buddies Sarah Marie D. & Henry C. HAW-LLLA!!! Only a short distance from The Las Vegas Strip, it's off Flamingo Rd. Food 4 Less is the main player in the strip mall it holds court in. Not much night lights to help with the visuals, so just cruise to the north end and you'll find it. The joint is PACKED with Asian folk of ALL ages, so MUST be bringin' it right to keep the masses happy. Our attendants were pretty good at keeping the drinks full and limiting the plate piles. So with unlimited access, we sampled a few things... I'm definitely in agreement with the yelpers that say Makino food quality is a MAJOR step up from Todai, IF you have to compare it to something. I've had many an Asian buffet in my journey, and this is the best BUFFET sushi quality so far, with an impressive selection. The chicken, beef, and pork options were all tasty and tender. The fresh seafood options (oysters, crab legs, fish & shrimp) were always well stocked. The tempura options were all crunchy yummy. You're offered a dessert zone that is Asian influenced and all delicious. You can also do the chocolate fountain thang and get your hearts content of 6 ice cream options. YUMMY!!! Oh man, we all left STUFFED! I was one HAPPY Chubba Bubba fur sure :) Prices are VERY reasonable, especially for the quality of food that is prepared here. This is easily something we would come back to, and could recommend to anyone looking for a Japanese buffet in Las Vegas. Just so you know, they take reservations for parties of 8 or more. Enjoy!
