I am going to start this review by saying that I personally miss the Macys downtown. Spending lunch hours there were always fun.
I don't really head to macys too often while at a shopping mall. I rarely ever head to this stand alone one in the waterfront, but I had some spare time and a gift card from LAST Christmas. I decided to kill some time while in the waterfront.
I had been in this store before, but never fully browsed or bought anything. The main reason is I hate the sales tatic of acting like a piece of clothing is more expensive, but magically its on sale for 60% off just so that the sale catches your eye. For this reason, I normally shop at discount clothing stores.
Anyways regarding my shopping trip this weekend, it was a relaxing time. The store was hardly busy and they played a nice mix of R&B music and old school favorite pop songs. I initially had a hard time finding clothes, but luckily I ended up finding and trying on 4 cute tops and ended up buying one. It was initially $50 (yeah right) and on sale for $25!!!! lol. Since using a Macys "card" (giftcard), the cashier was able offer me another discount (20 or 25% I believe). My adorable top came to $18. I wish I was always this lucky at Macys.
The store itself was fine. It was large.. 2 floors. I didn't head to the 2nd floor though. Fitting rooms were difficult to spot but overall not a bad store.
