| - I didn't buy my car here and I've never been in for service, but I called today to ask a few questions about getting a part on my 2009 Prius replaced.
I am writing this review because the person I spoke with on the telephone, Alan, was quite rude. He was the first person I spoke with, after selecting the service option through the automatic phone prompts. I had several questions and wasn't intent on scheduling a service appointment until they were answered. Alan kept talking over me when I was asking questions, and did not give me any helpful responses. He was doing his very best to either schedule me, or get me off the phone immediately. He ended up transferring me to someone else because he didn't have answers for me. We talked for less than a minute before he transferred me. He kept cutting me off and talking over me during the entire phone call.
I left a voicemail and later received a return call from Chris, who was very nice and helpful. I would rate Chris 5/5 stars and I feel comfortable continuing my conversation with Chris. If Chris is a representation of the company, I am confident.
If Alan is a representation of the company, I advise you to quickly run in the other direction and never look back. I hope I never have to speak to Alan again. I hope management reads this review and gives him a demotion. His customer service skills are poor and he should not be answering telephones. He needs coaching because he should never cut off customers or talk over them. Our conversation was my first interaction with this Toyota dealership and based on his behavior, I wouldn't give this company a dime.
AutoNation Toyota should give Chris a promotion, and fire Alan. The only reason I am willing to continue talking to them is because Chris has been quite helpful. I would really like to give them my business, but I hate to think that I'm paying Alan's salary.
