| - I just completed a 6 week challenge and I'm glad I did it!! I am not your typical face of CrossFit...or what people think is the typical face of CrossFit. I hadn't completed a work out in probably 5 years. I was so intimidated but Gayle was awesome in making me feel comfortable and ready to start the challenge. I had expectations of losing weight, isn't that everyone's goal? And I did, BUT that stopped being my motivation after the first week. I could see changes and improvements in my strength and stamina. I was doing things I didn't think I could do and overcoming physical and mental challenges every class. On the first day, I couldn't complete a squat without someone helping me up, I did half ass sit-ups, and I completed push ups by using the wall. At the end of the challenge not only did I improve my time in the baseline tremendously, but I could do 40 squats without an issue, full sit ups, and push ups on the ground. I have really enjoyed the weightlifting aspect and look forward to learning more, becoming stronger, becoming healthier, and just having fun with the awesome people here! Not only has the owner been awesome but all of the coaches (even the ones not leading our challenge but were there for the classes) were awesome, encouraging, and never judgmental. Same with the other CrossFit peeps! Everyone was awesome! PLUS they have a family room so my kid was able to come along! She LOVES going! She is always excited to get up in the morning and put on her work out clothes. One day I was even struggling to convince myself to get out of bed as we all do and she came in and said, "just put on your workout clothes, let's go." On rest days she would say, "YOU FORGOT TO WAKE ME UP FOR EXERCISE!" She's 4 and adorable, of course. I would highly recommend this box to ANYONE regardless of skill level because it really is for everyone!
