| - The food - OK, basic brasserie menu, executed nicely. I've been to the New York location, so I kinda knew what to expect. Not quite as good as i remember the New York restaurant, but was still, good.
The service was fine - I really couldn't complain about it, or complement it. There was nothing that really stood out.
What REALLY grated me about this place and the reason why I'm rating it 2 stars, was our arrival for lunch - Look, I get it. You open at 11:30. But when we arrive at 11:24, you can't seat us for 6 minutes? You're really going to turn us away for 6 fucking minutes? Fuck you. I would like to think Mr. Boulud would find this unacceptable.
6 minutes? 6 fucking minutes is too early to be treated like the guests we were supposed to be? The prep work seemed done. Service meeting wasn't going on [in the dining room] and even it it was, you won't seat us with an explanation? We're second class citizens because we showed up 6 minutes early?
Obviously, 6 minutes is a big point of contention for me.
I won't be back.
