First time calling the plumber and I wasn't sure what to expect. Mr Rooter scheduled me in and a service plumber was there 48 hours later. They don't charge by the hour, but instead they have a book with a bunch of different prices laid out for each specific problem. If you just have a quick fix that will take 2 hours or less (plugged sink) than maybe call another company that charges buy the hour and you will save some significant cash. I had a problem with the drainline on my toilet and shower in my basement and the plumber ended up working on it for 5-6 hours and it cost me $450. If I had gone with an hourly company (who usually charge $150/hr) then it would have been considerably more, so Mr Rooter was the right call in this situation. Their minimum charge seemed to be about $325, so it's good to know for next time. The tech was there for most of the day and we were able to stick the camera down the hole several times to see ensure that the blockage was gone because we werent bothered by time constraints. The also have a patented biological drain cleanser that costs $60 a bottle, but seems to do the trick...not to mention that it extends the warranty of their work by 60 days if you buy it. In the future I will be calling them again for any medium to large jobs....they would have gotten 5 stars if their prices were a bit lower, but sometimes it's worth a little more to have peace of mind.
