I've been to this spot maybe a handful of times and realized during my last visit, that the food is amazing but the scene is really not my thing. A friend and I spent NYE dining on the chef's special and so we got to try an array of their popular dishes and each one was moist, flavourful and portions are just right; it's a tapas style restaurant so 3 to 4 dishes per person to share is more than enough. The black cod and octopus balls are by far a favourite. The drinks are good but I would opt for a sake if that's your thing too. The downside of this place is that it's loud, like really loud, and holding a conversation around people yelling before their "sake bomb", or lights out for a birthday cake, can be distracting. Most izakayas are loud either way but I return here since the food makes the experience tolerable. The service was good and friendly, and we left the restaurant content but no voices
