  • This is one of the coolest places I've found in Phoenix. It has such a wonderful atmosphere and the employees are ridiculously friendly. I've gone back twice in one week since my first time because they have so much delicious ice cream and options to try. The first time I ever went I had an Italian Soda with Mango syrup, but they let me know that you can have as many different flavors as you want because refills are free on them. Then, I had a hot fudge sundae and it was adorable and delicious. The decorations are what really make this place amazing, but the desserts don't disappoint and the employees are so sweet and when they ran out of bananas for the banana split I originally ordered they were so nice and funny about it, I didn't even care. I guess the lunch menu could be a little better, but I really think you can get food anywhere, the experience at Macalpine's is what makes it so unique.
