| - I've waited so long to be able to write this review.
I finally got to eat here for my birthday last weekend, and wow it was SO worth the wait. We started off in the bar and were served by 2 awesome guys...Doug and (not sure other guy's name). Turns out all the bartenders have been here since it opened 13 years ago, so you know they like their jobs and they are happy to chat with you.
2 dirty martinis with blue cheese stuffed olives please! OMG...do NOT miss these olive. 2 more please!
We had requested a special seat for my birthday so we could see the fountains, and even though we had to wait a little bit (2 more please!) it was SO worth it. Best seat in the house!
Miguel was our server and he was so nice and knowledgeable....I loved how he took time to speak with each table and we did not feel rushed or pressured. Here's what we had:
Steak Tartare - a very delicate portion of raw beef with some sort of spicy mayo...very good. I think it was a bit light for 2 people to share though.
French Onion Soup - (BF's starter) Oh wow...super chunky, hot, cheesy deliciousness...this could be a stand-alone meal and in hindsight, it probably was too heavy to have before the steak.
Ceasar Salad - (my starter) Honestly jut ok. Nothing special to the dressing.
Filet - (BF's steak) Cooked a perfect medium rare with just the right amount of searing. So soft you could cut it with a spoon.
Bone-in Filet - (my steak). There's nothing I love more than a bone-in filet. Imagine the juciest, tenderest, mouth-wateringest piece of meat, and then throw extra flavor on top of that from the bone. This was a special that night, and Miguel had to go ask Chef to find me one because they were sold out by the time I ordered. If this is on the menu when you go, do NOT pass it up. Amazing, I'm still slobbering over it.
The only "ding" I will give them is that you can't bring in your own wine. We brought a special bottle all the way from CA for my b-day, and they would not let us cork it. I get it, they need to make money, but it seems like they could have bent the rules just this once.
Overall, a fantastic meal. I've been asked if I think it's the best steakhouse in Vegas (that I've been to) and I think it edges out Craftsteak by a margin.
Save your money and try this place!
