Made an appointment around 10 am for a 12:30 quick lunchtime manicure. They were right on schedule. Don was my manicurist and did a good job. He was pretty finicky with his work and worked diligently to get the thick red polish off my nails I'd applied a few days earlier. He was gentle and I know this because when he cleaned my nails with alcohol, nothing burned in my cuticle area. I do believe this was a first. I always wince at this phase of any manicure. No reaction from me this Tim. Whew!
I was in a hurry and Don had me out in record time. I asked him to skip the finger/arm massage though. When I told him my nails were dry enough, he didn't want to let me go! He said, "5 more minutes!" He didn't want me to mess up his work. Don't get me wrong, it was a scolding nor was he rude. He was smiling and said it with a joking voice. I liked him.
My only slight issue with my visit is that he kept telling me to get a gel overlay in the future. My nails are strong and I don't like the constant up-selling pressure. I get that it's a business and they want to profit. I politely decline. Other than that, a good visit. I will be back when I'm not rushed and ask for Don.
