Initially, I liked Dr. Steen, and I still like him. He is a nice guy. The staff is nice too. But my husband, son and I have all gone here for dental care and they continually try to sell us dental services we don't want or need. The friend who referred me said they never try to sell her services, but I'm wondering whether her dental insurance isn't as comprehensive as ours. I recently got "fired" because I wanted to schedule a cleaning and six-month routine checkup and they wanted to pull wisdom teeth and perform an expensive "root planing" procedure. If I wasn't going to have those services performed, they didn't want me as a patient. The dentist I went to instead said I did not need a root planing (the largest "pocket" I had was a 4) and my wisdom teeth were fine.
