  • I rarely give five star reviews but I think Moksha Uptown earned it! I have never ever done yoga before, not to mention hot yoga nonetheless. If I thought it would be hard doing all sorts of crazy poses on one foot, the thought of doing them while sweating like no tomorrow in a 40C studio was even more daunting. Surprisingly, it was a lot less crazy than I thought it would be! The instructors are calm and really helpful. I love that they ask you to think more about how each pose feels than how it's supposed to look. The studio is amazingly clean with hardwood floors and not a whiff of bad odour. It also has ceiling fans just in case the class looks like it's about to die of heat. I have never sweat so much in my life, but I didn't really notice it that much as I concentrated on what I was supposed to be doing. Yes, the changeroom is small and there are only three showers, but I'd rather just shower at home anyway! The people who work at the front desk have been nice to me every time I was there, and they have a new machine where you just tap your card to get into the studio--how convenient! It makes me feel like a VIP swiping into some super important building or something. The only thing I'd advise is to get to class early--it will fill up and you don't want to be stuck against the wall trying to do some crazy pose with no room for your arms!
