| - As far as hotels go, you get what you pay for. We chose a cheap hotel so we could do more while we were in town. The Excalibur was essentially what we expected it would be, considering their rooms are very cheap.
The rooms are outdated but comfortable. We slept well in the beds, and the rooms were fairly quiet.
Below are some quick notes:
Pros:
-Gambling: The casino has a good variety of games, and it's not crowded enough that you can't find a table/ slot machine
-Food: There are several quick places in the hotel to eat
Cons:
-Location: Its at the end of the strip, so you will be doing quite a bit of walking or driving
-Parking: The hotel recently started charging for parking, and it is a complete disaster. Valet refused to park our car because they were full. I feel like hotel guests should take priority. We drove around for a long time until we found the only parking spot in the lot, parked, then carried our luggage into the hotel. We had to Uber everywhere because we were scared that we wouldn't find a spot later if we drove ourselves.
-Bathrooms: The bathrooms are very outdated. Our shower door wasn't secure and could barely shut. The shower floor was very slick, which is dangerous. Lastly, there was mold growing in our shower.
-Housekeeping: (Not sure if this was our room or all rooms) There is no placard to hang on the door to let housekeeping know you are in there, so they tried to come in every day while we were still asleep.
