  • This place is, meh. It's about 800sq feet yet they have 15 televisions. It's up to you to decide whether that is a good or bad thing. The PA for these TVs was of surprisingly high quality, which, again, can be either a good or bad thing. We were in the area and decided to try it out. Monday nights had $4 MGD and $.50 mini burgers (add $0.20 for cheese). Our server was hard to find, and we saw her eating her dinner/lunch at one point. I have no issue of employees taking meal breaks, even in clear sight of customers, but it would be a bit nice if she found another server to relieve her. Considering there was another server who spent a lot of time chatting to the bartender between tending to her four tables of 3-5 people, I don't see why she didn't do that. After about 25 minutes, we got our salad, wings, and 10 miniburgers. The buns were stale and obviously from a bag. The burgers were pathetically small and charred, and we couldn't taste the thin slice of cheese. She didn't have dijon, and we got a small side of relish, ketchup, and mustard that filled up a fifth of a urine-sample cup. The caesar salad was pretty half assed as well; dressing, iceberg lettuce, pre-packaged crutons, half a chicken breast on top. Considering that Calgary has tons of bars, you'd assume they'd put effort in to retain customers. Yet again, Canadians don't seem to care too much about food and beverage. The fact that this place doesn't really seem to try is pretty deplorable. Considering my visit to the south Beckham's was equally as mediocre, I am never going back to any bar in Calgary named "Beckham's" again.
