  • AVOID AT ALL COSTS. Company is beyond tragic. Stole money from my Bank of America account without authorization, when I believe it's illegal to even store my routing/account numbers on file without consent. I paid by check at a branch that month leading to a double payment, and Wells Fargo Dealer Services refused to refund the stolen money even when I showed them there was a double payment and the phone payment wasn't authorized. I explained I'd just called their phone payment system to hear the amount due without ever entering my bank info, then immediately hung up. Somehow they debited against my checking account anyway. Not only did they refuse to refund the stolen money, they refused to allow me to listen to the recording of the call where I supposedly authorized the payment. It's obvious to me why they wouldn't release that call despite having it recorded. I asked for the illegally debited money to be refunded, and they refused, saying they would just apply it to future payments, when I told them I wanted the stolen money returned to my account. Due to their uselessness in handling the situation, I had to file a claim with BofA, who determined almost immediately the money had been stolen without authorization. The fraud was so egregious that BofA locked them from ever again accessing my account over the phone, without my even asking them to do so. Wells Fargo Dealer Services reported me to credit bureaus even when I'd paid before the date they report to bureaus, citing that my payments were applied to principal and not my car payment (?), despite being for the exact amount of my car payment and clearly intended to be my car payment. This was after a Wells Fargo banker specifically told me to write "principal" on my check payment. My guess is they deliberately told me the wrong information so they could claim I didn't pay and tack on extra fees, as they called claiming I hadn't paid when I'd sent checks for the exact amount of my car payment... they just applied it to the principal and not whatever it should have been applied to, when I was following direct instructions the Wells Fargo banker gave me. Total incompetency across the board. My credit has suffered, I've lost countless hours dealing with their "services" and reps and trying to fix their mistakes, and their reps are rude and unprofessional, sighing loudly when you call asking for help, not following up when promised, etc. The Office of the President is useless as well. Stay far away!
