| - This review is looonnnggg overdue and well deserved. Let me paint a picture for you... It was April 1, 2017; my wedding day. I had booked my hair and makeup through a well know mobile hair and makeup company in Vegas to come to my room and get me dolled up for my big day and to blow out my Maid-of-Honors hair too. I had booked our service months in advance and received a reminder confirmation the night before. Our stylist was scheduled for 10am and we were all ready to go; showered with just washed hair. It was 9:55am and no call from anyone. Then it was 10am... nothing. I gave her the benefit of the doubt. Caesars Palace is huge. Maybe she couldn't find our room?? Now it was 10:10am. We called the main number and got a voicemail. I then texted the number I had and waited... at 10:15am we got a call from our stylist. She sounded out of it and said she couldn't make it. She was at the airport and had an emergency. I was LIVID. I feel terrible but I laid it on her. I told her to figure it out and call me back. I told her she should of sent a backup and that this was extremely unprofessional. As soon as I hung up I burst into tears. My wedding ceremony was at 1pm! What was I going to do?? I then got a call from the owner who I continued to bitch out. She told me that she could come and do our services but she wouldn't be there for 30 minutes; almost 11am. I had to be at the chapel at 12:30pm. I didn't want to risk it and said no. Plus, I didn't trust them at this point. I told her I wanted my money back and would figure it out. At this point I was in all out tears. I didn't bring anything with me to prepare for this. No hot curlers, no fake lashes. My Maid-of-Honor called the concierge and explained the situation. He got us in touch with Color Salon by Michael Boychuck at our hotel, Caesars Palace, and let me tell you THEY SAVED THE DAY!!! 5 stars for the rest of my life!!!
My MOH spoke with the salon and they said they were fully booked but would figure out a way to squeeze us in and make it happen. We RAN there! It was a little far from our room but we found it and made it there at 10:55am. They gave us champagne to calm our nerves and within 5 minutes started working on us. I was so thankful and happy! I showed the stylist and makeup artist my look and they pulled it off flawlessly. Because we only had an hour and they were tight on time the makeup artist could only do my eyes and lashes. It worked. I added my own foundation, powder and blush and looked perfect. I cannot praise this salon enough!!! They were so nice, professional and kind. They listened to my story and calmed my nerves. I was done by noon and we paid and we ran back to the room. I threw my dress on, finished my makeup, and grabbed a bag with everything I needed (jewelry, shoes, etc) and we ran across the street to The Flamingo Chapel Garden. We made it by 12:30pm. :)
In retrospect, I wish I would have booked with Color Salon from the beginning. Although it was slightly more expensive I would pay anything for peace of mind. It is a beautiful salon with talented professionals and it is a perfect place to get ready for your wedding or any special day. They can even go to your room to do your hair and makeup for slightly more if you prefer.
