| - It's my first Yelp review in a while since I was super busy over the past one and a half months! So technically I should've written it at that time, but s--t happens sometimes haha. Omnivore has been on my list of must-try restaurants for a while, but it was definitely worth the trek in nearly -20 degree weather to get there.
I ordered the omnivore plate while my friend got one of the pitas, and we both got their homemade lemonade. It was very refreshing and not too sweet, but it wasn't overly sour either, which is exactly how I like it. The omnivore plate was seriously foodgasm-worthy, and everything about it was perfect. The grilled chicken was juicy, the rice had just the right amount of bite to it, and the salad with toasted pita pieces in it were all exceptional. I tend to notice a pattern in which the restaurants I like best often make really tasty salads, and that's coming from someone who normally isn't a huge fan of them. My friend said that her pita was really good as well.
I also decided to order some sort of coconut cake-esque dessert. Dense, moist, and definitely doused with some honey, it was the best way to cap off an already amazing meal. It's better and healthier than Boustan, and I will be sure to come back again in the near future!
