| - We stayed here for a quick weekend to watch some spring training games. Came in Thursday night and checked out Saturday.
SERVICE - The night staff was really welcoming when we came in Thursday night. The check in process was smooth and we were in our rooms right away.
HOTEL - This was pretty run down. You walk in and are immediately hit with the strongest smell of chlorine from the pool. It was overbearing...probably because there are so many kids that go into the pool during spring break. The carpet is dirty and there are parts that are coming apart.
Buttons in one of the elevators didn't light up so you didn't know if you were going up. The display in another elevator was broken so you were not sure which floor you were on until the doors opened. The club level said "key access only" but we tried to push the button without our key and it worked anyways. We were staying on the club level but since it worked, I assume anyone can go up.
CLUB LEVEL - We were on the 7th floor on the club level. The first thing I checked was the bathroom and there was mold in the shower. So gross. I dreaded taking a shower because I didn't want to touch anything. The shower did not drain very well either.
The room itself was standard. Definitely checked for bed bugs and spiders since other people experienced them. We didn't have that issue.
Complimentary breakfast was solid. 6-9am on weekdays and 7-10am weekends. It's supposedly only for club level access but who knows since the elevator seemed to let anyone on these levels. You get an assortment of pastries, fruit, cereal, toast, and oatmeal. There was also coffee and juice.
Hor d'oeuvres happened everyday from 5-8pm. On the day we went, there was a cheeseboard, veggies and dip, cheese fries, and fried veggies. It was nice if you wanted a quick snack.
Overall, our stay was fine. Definitely not the best hotel or would it be our first choice. But, we waited a little too long to book our hotels and everywhere else was sold out. Would we be back? Probably not.
