"When I get a little money I buy books, and if any is left I buy food and clothes." - Desiderius Erasmus
Too bad Erasmus lived before Benjamin Franklin. Lucky for those of us who came after the occupant of the $100 bill, we don't have to choose.
The Lakewood library always reminds me of why I love reading. When I was back in town recently, I needed a quiet place to get some studying done and remembered the quiet study room on the second floor.
The nostalgia hit me like a ton of bricks as soon as I pulled into the parking lot. I love the drive-thru book pick up and drop-off, I love the pictures of Lakewood in the foyer, the bright colors of paint on the walls, the selection of DVD's and magazines and CD's, and the shelves full of more tomes than you could imagine. Seriously, for a library of its size, this place is amazing! The libraries where I am living now just don't come close.
If you're lucky enough to live in Lakewood, make sure you pop into the main branch of the library sometime soon. I hope you'll find that you love it just as much as I do!
