Of the 15 various greenways in Charlotte, Little Sugar Creek by far is my favorite. This urban gem twist and turns you through several neighborhoods throughout charlotte; with 4 segments total from Cordelia park to 12th street, east 7th street to Morehead street, Brandywine road and lastly Huntingtowne Farms Park (Dilworth all the way to Noda). The paths are perfectly situated for biking, strolling or running. Along the route are small man-made water falls and fountains that lead into streams only adds to the scenery of this peaceful trail. I'm always surprised by the drastic temperature change that the shaded trees provide along the path during the sweltering summer months; makes for the perfect afternoon activity.
The city does a phenomenal job of keeping the Greenway clean and trimmed. In total, probably 6 to 7 miles with plenty of pit stops available most notably freedom park.
