| - As a professional musician, I'm used to hunting for places to eat after 1am, which in the early-to-bed, early-to-rise culture of Phoenix is not easy unless you're willing to settle for the typical Denny's or IHOP.
Delux is a go-to spot when I can get there before they close at 2am. And, unlike virtually any other establishment open at that time, it's not a compromise or last resort.
Food: Everything I've had--from soup to burgers, appetizers, etc. has been top notch and very delicious and properly prepared. The burgers are obtained exclusively from one ranch and you can definitely tell the difference in quality.
Good selection of craft beers if you're into that.
Service: I've been here many times and always had excellent, friendly service. I see some others' complaints here, but I've never personally received poor service. The opposite is true--I've walked in more than once within minutes of closing, and not once has the staff acted in any way annoyed nor hurried me. That is HUGE in my book. On occasion the owner is there and he's very friendly and personable.
Atmosphere: It's trendy and upscale, but small. I like sitting in a booth, and none exist here, but that's a relatively minor issue. There is a nice patio out front which is comfortable for most of the year (they have lots of space heaters).
All in all, one of the best burgers in Phoenix along with other great fare. And probably the best choice for late night dining.
