  • Today I took my family to Wet n Wild for the first time here in Vegas. I moved here from Orlando FL just 2 years ago, and this water park is PATHETIC!!! So much for all things being "Grand" in Vegas this is anything BUT Grand! I won't spend time going into all the issues, but I will list the most obvious ones. It is WAY TOO small and difficult to get around. There are not enough bridges over the lazy river to get to anything without going all the way around, everything has barricades so there are unnecessary bottle-neck lines for ridiculous things, like the wave pool. People should not have to walk around to the front of the wave pool, you should just be able to go in from any point. The wave pool is a JOKE, again way too small. Almost every ride is a tube ride which can be a REAL PAIN having to carry tubes up the stairs. Another ridiculous thing is that if you want a tube for the wave pool or the lazy river you have to rent them. It cost $5 a person/tube the double is $10 and they run out of them fast, but regardless who the hell wants to "watch" over their tube all damn day. Seriously, if each place had their own colored tubes, no one would care, once you're done with the river or pool leave the tube for someone else, it should be simple, stop trying to take our money for something so fundamentally stupid. The lazy river is too shallow and not enough "get-out" entries. FOR THE KIDS: I have a 2.5 year old who is very comfortable in the water and is a great swimmer. She got bored quickly with the 3 kiddie slides and the bucket dropping water park was also WAY TOO small and very cold so she wasn't into it that much and at a point all she really wanted to do was swim, and there are NO KIDS POOLS anywhere! Seriously she would have had more fun at the splash pads. I do agree with other reviews the staff is not consistent with the rules and is not properly trained. As for food, we bought the groupon that included the bbq buffet lunch and it was pretty good, hard to find, a bit chaotic considering how big the room was where the food was laid out, and no one could figure out the drink dispenser it just shuts off automatically and there were buttons and such, weird and not simple to say the least. I mean its a drink dispenser Jesus!! My husband and I did all the rides, they were short, but fun, not really the best thrill for adults. I would say ages 5 through 18 is the best age for this water park. I really think they could have done a hell of a lot better. Needless to say I have decided the season passes are not worth it and I will be trying Cowabunga next just to have a comparison.
