  • I got this place on Priceline for an insanely good price. I had read some reviews here and on TripAdvisor that made me nervous, but I was super happy once I got there. I'll quickly run through the few negatives just to get them out of the way. Other people have touched on these. * Parking is an additional $27/day. I thought that was insane, but then I looked at prices for other lots, and that's basically what overnight parking in Toronto costs, so you can't really complain. * Internet access is $14/day. Annoying, but that's just what big fancy hotels do. * We did have one or two really long elevator waits. Other times weren't bad at all. Now, onto the good stuff. I found our room to be immaculate, spacious, and full of the plushy goodness fancy hotels offer. (I rarely stay in fancy hotels, so maybe I'm too easily impressed by things like bathrobes. I dunno.) I've gathered via TripAdvisor that some rooms have been renovated and others haven't. Maybe they stick Priceline people in the unrenovated rooms when they are otherwise booked up, but we got a recently renovated room. At check-in, the asked if we wanted two double beds (the Priceline standard, I guess,) and I said, "One bigger bed would be better than two smaller beds, but we'll be fine with whatever." The clerk checked and told me that she had a room with a queen bed, but it was a wheelchair accessible room, which meant a shower stall instead of a bathtub. No problem, I said, and took the room. Maybe the room I would have gotten otherwise wouldn't have been so nice. I don't know. This is actually my new standard for Priceline/hotwire hotel booking. Make some random request about your room (bigger bed, higher floor, near/far from the elevator, facing the whatever) just so I don't get the worst room in the place. But I digress. I checked out the pool and exercise room, which seemed really nice. I didn't try room service or the restaurants, because this is one of the world's great eating cities; why on earth would anyone eat at the hotel? I really just couldn't have been happier with this place.
