  • McCormick Ranch has been a long-term member of the Scottsdale Golf community. Pretty sure its been around for several years. I've always enjoyed the course for its very friendly staff and golfer-friendly green fees. It also has 2 courses (I like the Palm the best). In short, MR has been a great combination of challenging golf and reasonable rates. However, over the past several months I've notice a real deterioration in the golf course maintenance. In fact, more recently the Palm course was in especially poor condition. In fairness, both MR courses have had and continue to get lots of play. And this late in the winter season you should expect some wear & tear on any course in AZ. However, its gotten so bad (IMHO) I will not return until improvements are made. Its a beautiful place to play under better circumstances but I'd warn any golfers away. Try Dove Valley Ranch or, for less accomplished golfers, StarFire.
