  • Organic, delicious and cheaper than that Mad Mexican, Manotas has the best tasting guac and salsas in the city. Seriously, I make a pretty mean green guac myself, but I'm now addicted to Manotas and shuffle over to the market weekly to pick up 2-3 tubs of salsa and guac (yes I am a fiend). They also have other pre-made organic foods like prepared chick peas and quinoa which are tasty, but the Du Puys lentils are an absolute must. Yes I know lentils don't sound very appetizing, but these must be black magic lentils because they are so savoury and full of flavour that I often find myself salivating at the very thought of them. Located on the bottom floor of St. Lawrence Market, Manotas is a must visit for anyone looking for Latin inspired foods and spices.
