  • I don't usually award five stars to anything but Shawarma House truly deserves it. As soon as you walk in the owner cheerfully greets you with a "Hello my friend! How are you today?". The food is phenomenal and served up very quickly. They always give free baklava with your order which really hits the spot after a spicy shawarma. When speaking with the owner I get a very genuine vibe that he appreciates your business. When it's not busy I've had some brief chats with him. I asked him about Ramadan and he was very open to discussing it. You can tell he's proud of his food and his culture. With all the food options available in Calgary it's refreshing to go to a place where the customer is very appreciated. And now I'm hungry... guess I have my lunch plans.
