I went in July 4th because I had a thorn under my skin that started an infection (abscess). It is located 1/4 mile from my house so I thought I would give it a try since the urgent care I have previously for small issues used is 3 miles away. Walking in I realized how nice a place it was, looked like a mini-hospital. I specifically asked the receptionist if this was like an urgent care and she said it was "just like an urgent care, we do whatever an urgent care can do and more" was what she said. People we nice enough, doctor took care of the access from the thorn, I went home. The issue I have is that I received two bills--one for $396.31 and one for $493.20--from the doctor and one from the facility. I was TOLD it was just like an urgent care facility when I specifically asked. My urgent care would have cost a $25 co-pay and that would be it. I never, ever would have used their services if I was not mislead about it being just like an urgent care. The total for my 10 minute visit was $2,413 and I am paying $889.51 out of pocket. Do not go here unless you have broken bones or seriously life threatening issues going on. Go to an urgent care (I found out there is one a 3/4 mile away) and save yourself the $889.51 I wish I did.
