  • My husband decided to surprise me with a weekend stay at the Montelucia for our anniversary, and our stay was nothing short of perfect. Let me start with the one and only glitch- we arrived at check in time and our room wasn't ready. For an hour and a half. The front desk staff certainly made up for the inconvenience by giving us two drink tickets to enjoy at the bar while our room was prepared, so no negative marks there. When we arrived at our room we found not only a rose petal fiesta on our massive bed and in the bathtub, but a hand written card wishing us a Happy Anniversary and half a dozen amazing chocolate covered strawberries from the hotel staff. That evening we enjoyed an amazing dinner at Prado, their on site 5 star restaurant, complete with an amazing dessert and Happy Anniversary message drom the chefs, and headed back to our room to enjoy our anniversary evening. After a struggle in the morning to get out of that amazing bed, we walked over to Joya Spa for a couples massage and relaxation time out on the private pool/balcony, where the view was to die for. Honestly, the views from everywhere in the resort are breathtaking. I just can't say enough about our weekend, every last detail was taken care of and they went above and beyond. I can't wait to go back, this time in the summer so I can try out the pool. I've stayed at nearly all of the top rated resorts in Phoenix and this easily makes my top 5!
