  • Alta Vista is a decent emergency vet clinic. Not as a regular doctor. We used Alta Vista for years. My neighbors are who turned me to them, for most USE to use them, till our experiences... 2011, We take our cat into Alta Vista for he isnt eating.. I thought dehydration, no it turns out for some reason his red blood cells were gathering at the lowest points of his body... They tell us he needs a blood transfusion. That he needs to moved to another Hospital, they will move him due to state. We go home pacing floors, 4 hours later we get a call from Alta Vista. Hello, could you guys take Edgar to the other hospital..we have been so busy. We pick him up, take him to the other hospital, where in 20 mins he goes in to cardiac arrest, is revived but goes again.... That night we lost our fur child.... Alta Vista said nothing... They just let a dying cat sit in a cage for 4 hours before realizing they failed to do what they say... Took us a long time to realize this, even now this is the first I have typed this. Our oldest Shadow went in for an ear infection.. He is now deaf in one ear, has a head tilt, stopped jumping. He got an ear infection, according to them. They gave him ear medicine and stuff to wash out his ears... We did just as they told us to do, they offered a surgery, that would clear out an infection. Shadow has seen another Vet, no surgery would not help him. He will not give back sound, or take away head tilt. They did not treat it right he says... Shadow is seeing a chiropractor for head tilt, he is not able to to jump. 2015, We go in with our Newest Adopted member. Chester, we take him in Sept 2015, for he is walking into walls and has smelly breath. They do xray and blood work and blood pressure.. They tell us he has an elongated heart and heart murmur, along with high blood pressure, which is what is making him blind. They put him on a blood pressure medicine. We bring him back in 2 weeks for a quick check up, Eyes are slightly better but still things. 2 months we go back for x ray.. They look the same they said as they did before. They put him on a 2nd blood pressure, I had 3 Pharmacist warn me that both together is not good, but doctors order... Chester was almost in a coma.. They stopped the second med. A month later Chester is labor breathing. We get him to a doctor with an eco machine... That doctor says if we went 3 more days, he would not be here. He looks at the x rays from Alta Vista and flips out...in 5 seconds he sees the heart and heart valve grew 3 times the size from the first set of xrays... He does an eco, Chester is in Congenital Heart Failure . He does NOT have elongated heart or murmur... It came from a tooth infection, that required the one and only board certified anesthesiologist in the state of Arizona.. No vet would due to his condition. It took us a year to save the $3000, he had to stay on antibiotics the whole year. Which Alta Vista at one point choose to not let us get there. For they wanted to see the cat....the cat who is already under medical care..The same one you mis-diagnosed . Now you want us to bring in the cat and pay you office visit so you can refill this antibiotic? Yes, we will not fill it again until you do... I have asked to have Angie the office manager call me. I have left feedback's that they have emailed for a response. Have a a heard a word... No we have not... Today Chester has had his surgery for his teeth, he did come out of Heart failure last month, they reduced some meds...but he is in the hospital now back in heart failure, for the valve stayed infected to long and he can not come off a medicine, the next 2 weeks will be touch in go.... We have only been dealing with this for 2 years. Imagine if people listened to us and did their jobs correctly...we may not be here today fighting still for his life... Not only this... But you make appointment at 2pm... You are seen maybe by 6pm. Everytime we have gone there they are always way busy. You are NEVER seen on time and when you are seen its never by the same Doctor. They have high turnover and they do not have enough staff for their needs. However they did work with us payment arrangements, we have given them thousands so I see why they did. I will NOT trust them with any of my cats, only in a life or death ordeal would I and even then... I know they are many other places I can... Like yesterday, I drove an hour, Chester went to ER in Gilbert near his Cardiologist. I gave them plenty of time to get back with us to, at the very least ... to even say, We are sorry. No not a word, now if I owed them money... I would hear from them... When we did payment arrangements, they call the day it was due to make sure I was paying it. Where is their focus, clients or the money from them.... With us they wanted our money, not our cats healthy and safe... We have discussed going to a lawyer, but I am reaching one more time for them to help and make this as right as they can.
