I'm quite surprised and somewhat ashamed in my lackadaisical outdoor lifestyle. I'll admit the need to explore the great outdoors tend to hit me once every three years, but for some reason I've only visited COP twice. Once as a chubby little doe-eyed boy for winter skiing lessons (heck yeah I snow plowed the S@#$ out of those hills!). And for the second time as a chubby hollow-eyed man-child, I came in summer to do some zip lining.
Their summer program sports are plentiful, from what I saw there were lots going on, despite the hills being snow-free. The zip line experience was intense, but a little expensive. Still for 60 bucks we got a ride all the way up to the tallest ski-jump tower, where we took our first line down. How was the height? Please dont' make me describe as I don't fancy having to change my underwear. We went down two more lines and I'd like to mention how awesome the zip line team was not only in their safety training and protocols, but how they can really hype things up for you.
Don't be afraid to explore the buildings themselves, they keep around great winter olympic mementos such as the original Jamaican Bobsled. No...the one sticking out of Ranchman's isn't the REAL one...*sigh*
