  • I contacted Unknown via email about a month in advance to ask about their small event space advertised on their website for a surprise birthday party I was planning for my boyfriend. I told them the date and group size (smaller than 20) and asked for more details. Within a day, Lisa got back to me, told me the space was $free$ (!), and I reserved the date. Unfortunately the Charlotte snowday was the day I booked and it was super easy to postpone the reservation by 2 weeks. SO easy to work with. We had the front space, located behind the bar, all reserved for us. 20 of us easily fit. We were allowed to bring in outside food as long as we didn't bring any other alcohol. So convenient! Perfect for a small gathering. And there was a food truck there that night too! In addition, one of our group dropped and broke his glass, but he insisted on cleaning it up himself. Since we was so responsible to clean up his own mess, they gave him a beer for free. The customer service here is AMAZING, and the beer and atmosphere are great too. I would definitely work with them again :)
