  • LOVE the Green Owl! Great spot for vegetarians (how fun is it to order off the menu knowing you can order anything)! Really tasty drinks too (try the lemonade or the chai-tini for an adult beverage). I have also never been disappointed by the desserts. The Devil Wings are my favorite appetizer and something I crave regularly. However, I AM going to hold a grudge against The Green Owl, or maybe a silent protest at least, for taking two of my favorite items off the menu: the open faced curry "tuna" melt and the BBQ jackfruit sandwich. I know they want all the items to be "healthy" but come on, vegetarians need to indulge too! Maybe they could create a guilty section of the menu and bring these things back with the disclaimer: will induce veggie food addiction and dreams about curry melts. I mean, it would only help their business. Since those two are gone I usually go for the crabby cake po boy which never disappoints. I also wish they would rotate some of the items on the menu and work on making some new creations because as a veggie who cooks, I also make a lot of the items on the menu at home. Even so, I will keep coming back...waiting for that jackfuit sandwich or curry melt to reunite itself with my taste buds.
