Celebrating a nephews birthday and a great mini vacation gone bad. The children had so much fun that we decided to book another night. Housekeeping was advised that we would handle the cleaning ourselves, we just requested new sheets and towels. We came back to the room to find that it had been cleaned. Besides the fact that I'd personally told the housekeeper i did not need her services, i had personal items around that I'd rather not be seen. The biggest problem is that an entire bag of clothes came up missing. This left a child without clothes at all, besides the wet swimming trunks that he was wearing. The staff ensured me that they would look everywhere even the dumpsters. However nothing was found. Communication with the front desk was hard and uncomfortable. Making us feel like it was our fault that the bag disappeared. He sounded angry and irritated by my problem. Saying that the only thing he could or would do is discount a future visit. Or check us out and give us a full refund. Neither of which was equivalent or an option. Almost discouraged but I asked to accompany someone while they searched the dumpster and this time the items were found. Made me feel like they hadn't searched the first time. Still no apology. And rude smirks from the front desk attendant. I tipped the young positive guy who actually had the awful task of searching through the trash. I wasted so much time and energy. I feel like they should've comped my entire visit.
