I'm always on the hunt for delicious gluten free baked goods. Since they can often be very challenging to make, I'm always impressed when a gluten free version that isn't chalked full of sugar is found. That said, I decided to try the gluten free butter tart and had to give the Homer Simpson donut a go. I will preface that I'm not a big donut fan in general. I would say if you like a cake like donut, you would probably enjoy this one. It wasn't a fav for me. The butter tart was also a little disappointing. I was expecting the centre to be gooey and runny - didn't happen. It was rather dry. What I did like was it wasn't over sweetened.
I will say the staff were friendly and inviting and the place is very nicely decorated and clean.
I'll end with saying I'm usually a cookie fan, so I'll still have to give one or two of theirs a go at some point and see if that shifts my overall rating.
