  • I asked my husband to find me a coffee shop between the airport and the city and he picked Carnegie Coffee Company. Like everyone says, it's in an old Post Office. Inside, it is huge, one of the biggest independent coffee shops I've been in. I came early in the morning on a weekday, and it was very quiet (people wise) at first but gradually filled up and became hoppin' and boppin' and pretty packed with people. There are two levels, and within the downstairs, there are lots of nooks and different areas. It's quite the opposite of a vast rectangle. There are easy chairs, tables, couches: lots of options. They use the Italian terms for their espresso drinks, which is a nice touch. I ordered an 8oz white mocha and it was excellent. The underlying espresso was well made. The milk froth was rich and thick. It had a well-blended, well-rounded warm flavor that was not too sweet.
