| - I stayed here about a month ago and really enjoyed my time.... until I got kicked out.
So I decide to do a quick vacation. Eight days. Fly out and arrive early. Got upgraded, and checked-in early, etc. Awesome! Everything is going fine. Found one dirty towel and threw it by the door. No big deal. I was anxious to hit the casino floor and check out the huge amusement park-type hotel.
It was my first time in Vegas and I'm stoked!!!
Never got to experience any of the restaurants, but there's a McDonald's upstairs in the circus game area. They give you a receipt coupon thing for a freebie for next day if you do a quick survey.
So I played a ton of slots and got lucky. Did the free $15 coupon in chips for $10. Mind you they're only for play and can't be cashed in.
Checked out the kiosk for an emerald necklace for mom. Rachel is right. They are pushy. What went from $55 went down to $40. "I'll be back I promise, I'm here for another week." "$35" "Deal. Tomorrow though!"
Went swimming. It was hot out!!!!!
And sooooo..... I guess after I ventured across the street and got drugged I misbehaved and knocked a few things over in the gift shop.
Ended up in the hospital, etc. (embarrassing)
After I got out had to get new key to my room, couldn't get in, had to get housekeeping call security and they came. Big guy question me, then cute security lady with short hair and gun said I was being evicted because.....
Whatever.
She commented that I was one of the most polite evictees she's come across in a while. Probably why she needs the gun (HA!)
So they allow me to gather my things and cash out my chips in the safe. I payed via a booking site so I had to go back through them about finding a new place.
The booking company actually refunded me and was in the process of trying to help me find a new place. Almost an hour phone call and being on hold and yadi yada yada they tell me Circus said you can come back, but we have to rebook you since we just refunded you.
Instant bust! Money is limbo now. Plus I was still confused/mad/embarrassed. I dunno.
Cute hotel. Dirt cheap. Super small drinks (compared to Wynn).
My takeaway is that it's cheap and affordable and not a bad place. Some things like need improvement like more employees during busy times at front desk and maybe bigger glasses for cocktails. Also I couldn't figure out the buffet. It was always roped off. The frozen drinks are amazing. You can get a plastic sippie and get it refilled. Not just frozen, you can do bloodys too.
Also Concierge needs an attitude check. Prior to my departure I needed a new keycard. I was now a Players Plus member so I didn't need to stand in the ridiculously long line. Someone had jumped in front of me and was paying cash and so I went to the concierge desk to ask can someone else help me with getting a key card replacement; can you get a manager to help me, etc. I had to go to the bathroom...grrr! They point to the line where the dude jumped in front of me and says that guy at the desk is the mgr. Oh also there wasn't anyone at that desk for a hot minute. Nonetheless, they could have told the Mail & Information Desk also does key re-issues. Complete fail.
(Most of the staff was polite, even while I was getting the boot.)
Anyway...even though I got kicked out I enjoyed the place. Really missed out on the amusement portion though. Bummer!
Hopefully I can check out the rides when I'm back in December!
