| - Location: Tucked away in Plaza St. Hubert. Street parking is available [metered]. For some reason, people don't seem to have issues finding a parking spot here but they might just be lucky.
The place: Small café with a few tables, and bar-seating area by the front window. For those of you who know about my obsession with street art, you won't be surprised when I tell you how delighted I was to find an amazing mural on the main wall, courtesy of one of Montreal's top crews. Bonus!
The goods: Coffee and a few baked goods. I forgot to ask the barista which beans they use, but this issue was quickly resolved when my fellow coffee-lover and Yelper Khai, messaged me to discuss the bean situation. These guys use Kittle beans, and truth be told, I bought a bag last year and wasn't a fan. Despite buying an Espresso roast (or some kind of dark roast - I forget), I found the coffee to be too weak for my tastes. I am happy to report that the folk at Candide make a kickass Macchiato with said beans, and I was pleasantly surprised when I found out they were using Kittle. I put their Macchiato on par with Code Black (they don't use Kittle), which is my #1 place for coffee served in tiny cups.
Service: Friendly.
Price point: I think the Macchiato was $3.15.
