Nice facility. Nice staff. Saw Dr. Mark Shaeper.
I've been sick for several days - coughing, body aches, chills, very low energy. He listened to my lungs, looked in my ears and throat and from a 3 minute exam he determined that it's not a bacterial infection but I have a viral infection and that I just have to deal with it until it runs its course . To me, that basically means that he has no idea what is wrong. He did write me prescription for my cough - Tussionex. Of course this medication wasn't available in generic form so even with my insurance it would have been $50. Geez, a $50 cough suppressant?!?! I think not! I swear, doctors and pharmaceutical companies have a racket going on. I'm glad I didn't fill the prescription. I came home and googled Tussionex and found that you shouldn't take it if you are allergic to Codeine - I am allergic to Codeine and I even told him I was and he still prescribed it!!
See below:
