  • We went here on a Friday night and there was definitely an afterwork crowd getting together for some drinks. It was pretty loud inside, but when you are eating with a 2-year old that isn't all that bad. For once our son wasnt the loudest person in the place. the wait staff was extremely nice. I really liked the decor, great old-time bar feel. Like many in here, I would say the beers were great. They had something like 12 beers on tap!! The food was pretty good too. My wife and I both had burgers, texecana and the applewood smoked bacon cheeseburger. They were decent, nothing extraordinary. A little on the expensive side at $9. I probably would have given Great Dane 3 1/2 stars, but alas, Yelp likes whole numbers! If you are looking for a place to go and drink some beers this would be a great option. I would also recommend it if you are going for a bite to eat and a beer, but I think that there are better burger options in Madison.
