| - Playhouse Square is a genuinely awesome community.
I'm a lover of the arts. Growing up in the theater scene, I've always had such an understanding and respect for the performing arts. The entire theater district is just a gem in the heart of downtown Cleveland. I went to a show called "The Frog Bride" at the Hanna Theater within the district and it was a blast. A one man show telling a story about a magical frog? That's talent.
I recently went to a Playhouse Square Partners Young Professionals event. It was a "Passport to Paris" theme, with wine and beer samples, charcuterie fixin's, and informational booths about the district, the community, and how you can become involved.
After hitting up every booth, I realized this was something I wanted to be a part of. I became a Contributing Partner right then and there. I look forward to hitting up all the events the district has to offer.
I'm particularly excited about the upcoming broadway show, Love Never Dies. It's a continuation of The Phantom of the Opera, one of my favorite broadway musicals of all time.
With all of this fun stuff aside, the Playhouse Square is absolutely beautiful. The history alone is so intriguing to learn about. It's worth a visit, or 2, or 3, or 20.
