| - After I was misdiagnosed by a dermatologist about pain in both elbows, I did some sleuthing and was 100% sure that my diagnosis was correct. But it needed to be treated.
I found Dr. Fisher on HealthGrades and made an appointment. The main office is on Smoke Ranch, but my appointment. was on W. Washington, very convenient. Until I tried to find the damned office. I'll omit the sorry details of my exhaustive search, except to say that I never found it, and did a no-show. Why? Because it's pretty much in the same building as another ortho practice with a similar name, big signs, and first-floor entrance. Dr. Fisher's office is a different entrance, fourth-floor, and not a single sign directing you through the maze to the right suite. Not even a sign on the door! This satellite office has been open a couple of months, and there is no excuse for it.
I did manage to schedule another visit, and it was a positive experience. Dr. Fisher is personable and friendly, and of course it helped that he concurred with my diagnosis and didn't get visibly pissed off that I had self-diagnosed my olecranon bursitis. (I got my M.D. degree at my mother's knee). I expected that he would aspirate both elbows, but he said it wasn't necessary, gave me a cortisone shot in each one, and sent me on my way with an Rx for a topical analgesic. The shots aren't helping yet, but he said it would take a few days.
If you see Dr. Fisher at this office, be sure you have COMPLETE directions to be able to find it! Hint: it's right next to the elevator.
