| - What a great way to spend an afternoon!! Not only is it free, but it's a CHIP factory! 2 of my favorite things! We tasted chips right off the line, and got to see the whole production line in operation. It was VERY cool!!
Sadly no photos are allowed inside the factory, in order to protect their employees with the abundance of social media. Good decision, but unfortunate for us!
At the end of the tour we browsed the gift shop, and helped clear off their 'opps!' rack... A big wall of half price chips that have too much flavouring, or the wrong cut of chip. Nothing wrong with them, just not grocery store quality I guess! Hooray for us, because we got a GIANT bag of single-serve bags for only $8! Since we're roadtripping, they were perfect snacks for a week!
Lots of really cool flavours, too, if you know a chip connoisseur.
They also have a little cafe counter with hotdogs, chicken nuggets, pop and a few other snacks. Prices weren't bad at all.
Definitely worth a stop! Or, plan a school trip there! We saw 4 buses come through in the maybe 2 hours that we were there.
